1.1.1.1 Check the StanForD configuration

Before starting, check the StanForD configuration. StanForD is the standard file format generated by the machines controller. Our system works with StanForD Classic and StanForD2010 file formats. If you are using John Deere G-Series, we recommend to use the last version of StanForD (StanForD 2010).

Open Timbermatic
Click in the Top-left menu (Yellow Down Arrow). This opens a menu 1 to 9
Select menu item 7 "System configuration" This will open a new window called System configuration.
Select tab "2 Software"
Go to the menu in the left panel and select the Tab B (Icon with spanner and person)
A new list is opened in the left menu, select "3 StanForD"
Check and configure the options:
- Select "StanForD 2010"
- Output files: By active site
- Input files (reading): "StanForD"
- Output files (writing): "StanForD"

1.1.1.2 Generation of Historical Production (HPR) Files

If the harvester has production data generated prior to the automatic file saving configuration (step 1.2.1.2), you should follow these steps to retrieve the production data creating a production report manually. In case that you are starting a new operation and you are looking to set the automatic file saving, please proceed to section 1.2.1.2.

Open Timbermatic in Windows
Go to the icon for "File Management" in the top-right menu.
Select the HPR production file (*.hpr) if available, otherwise select PRI file (*.PRI)
Select other files if relevant (e.g. APT, DRF, etc.)
Go to the next view

In the next view, setup the report configuration

Site: select the name of the site
Select "Report between dates" and insert the date of the begin of the operation and the current date.
Save file: Remember the name and location where the file is save to be able to copy and send this file to ForestHQ.

1.1.1.3 Automated Generation of production HPR files

Timbermatic allows the user to modify the settings to create production files automatically for a given time period (e.g. daily). Follow the instructions below to enable the automated production file saving.

Open Timbermatic
Click in the Top-left menu (Yellow arrow)
Go to the menu: 1 Work > 1 Felling Site> 1 Sites

Select the menu option B
Select "5 Automatic saving".
Select the following options:
- Enable / Tick "Production (*.hpr)"
- Saving interval: Saving period in hours. (24 hours is recommended)
- Saving folder(s): Record / Write down the file path where the files are saved.

If the harvester has production data previous to the automatic file saving configuration (step 1.2.1.2), you should follow these steps to retrieve this information creating a production report manually. Select other files if relevant (e.g. APT, DRF, etc.)
Go to the next view

To not avoid the manual creation of production files, Timbermatic allow the user to create production files automatically for a give time period (e.g. daily). Follow the instructions below to enable the automated production file saving.

Open Timbermatic in Windows
Click in the Top-left menu (Yellow arrow)
Go to the menu: 1 Work > 1 Felling Site> 1 Sites

Select the menu option B
Select the "5 Automatic saving" section.
Select the following options:

From the working screen, press 'Ctrl-A' to bring up...

'Setting Mode' -> 'Felling Site' -> 'Files'

Select "Save PRI production (*.pri)"
