To enable WIFI connection the android device needs to function as a WIFI hotspot. The WIFI hotspot in your mobile device needs to be on. This creates a Wi-Fi network that connects with the machine computer. This will enable the machine to send files to you mobile device from the network.
If you do not know how to configure a Wi-Fi Hotspot, you can follow the instructions below for the main phone manufactures.
Insert the USB WIFI dongle
Follow the manufacturer instructions for the installation. This may require the installation of a driver.
Once the install is finished. The machine PC should recognise the mobile hotspot in described in section 2.4.2
In our example we use a TP-LINK WIFI dongle. If you are using this device, you can find the installation instructions and driver in the links below.
1. Go to "Settings" in your device. You can select this icon among the other apps in your device.
2. Find "Networks & Internet", on the Android device.
Depending on the brand this could also be " Wireless & Networks" or " Connections"
If this is not appearing or anything similar go to "More" and find it.
3. Go to "Hotspot & Tethering"
Depending on the brand this could also be "Tethering & Portable Hotspot" or "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering"
4. Enable the Wi-Fi Hotspot option
Depending on the brand could be also "Wi-Fi Hotspot", "Mobile Hotspot" or "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot"
5. Get the details of the WIFI network.
You need the "Network name" and "Password". Depending on the brand you can access to this information in different ways described below. Write the "Network name" and "Password" down for use in section 2.4.3
Brand Type 1
In some brands the "Network name" and "Password" are displayed directly
Brand Type 2
In some brands the password is hidden. By pressing the "Password" section the user can see the password details.
Brand Type 3
In the section "Set up Wi-Fi hotspot"
Click on Show Password
Brand Type 4
In the section "Configure Wi-Fi Hotspot"
Click on Show Password
Keep in mind that smartphone manufacturers often have slight different user interfaces so your options can be slightly different depending on which device you own, but it should be relatively similar.

Use your phone as Wi-Fi hotspot
After enabling a WiFi-Hotspot in the previous section, go back to the PC in the machine and connect to this Hotspot. For this you would need to know the "Network name" and "Password" as described in the section above.
How to connect to a Wi-Fi network:
1. Find and click in the "Networks" icon in the Windows bar (bottom-right of the screen)
2. From the list of available WIFI networks, select the your WiFi-Hotspot
3. Press "connect" and type the password of the WiFi-Hotspot and select "next" / "connect".
The PC should connect correctly. If you have any issue, try to introduce the password again and review the steps described in the previous section.

3. Go to "Hotspot & Tethering"
Depending on the brand could be also "Tethering & portable hotspot" or "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering"
4. Enable the Wi-Fi Hotspot option
Depending on the brand could be also "Wi-Fi Hotspot", "Mobile Hotspot" or "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot"
1. Find and click in the "Networks" icon in the Windows bar (bottom-right of the screen)
2. From the list of available WIFI networks, select the your WiFi-Hotspot
The PC should connect correctly. If you have any issue, try to introduce the password again and review the steps described in the previous section
