In order to establish a fully automated data transfer between the machine computer and HarvestSync, some configuration is require in the machine computer to share the folders where the files are stored.
Once that the first step is done and the creation of the new 'TM" user is finished, the second step is to Share the folders containing the files.
Depending on the Windows version of the harvester this steps can be a little bit different. Please follow these steps:
The fist step is to create a new user and password to share the document in a safer way.
To add a new user in Windows 10, type "Other Users" in the windows search bar in the button-left corner. You can also get access to this option in the Control Panel.
To add a new user, go to Other users and select the option "Add someone else to this PC".
Windows will ask for an email account. Do not type any email account. Instead follow these steps to create an account:
Select "I don't have this person's sign-in information"
Select "Add a user without Microsoft Account"
Create the details of the user name and password:
Who's going to use this PC? : Type in TM
Make it secure: Type in 12345678
In case you forget your password: Choose the questions of your preference
Once this TM user is created please check to see that the "TM" user has been created correctly and the name appears in the "Other Users" section.
Once this is verified:
1. Click on the user "TM" account to bring you to the Change Account Type
2. Select "Change account type"
Now, change the Account Type to "Administrator":
Select OK
You have now completed the setting up of a TM User.
The next step is to share the folder(s) where the file(s) are stored in the machine computer. Each manufacturer has a default location where these folder(s) are stored.
The files are generally always stored within the Local Disk C: of the machine computer. To quickly access this you can select the windows and E key on the keyboard of the machine computer. Then select the Local Disk C: and the relevant directory below.
Some typical default folder locations are:
