For this option you would require a mini wifi router with a USB Network Adapter and a power / data splitter cable.
The mini wifi router is connected to the USB Network adapter, and both are connected to the power / data splitter cable.
The USB Network Adapter requires the installation of software drivers and then the power / data splitter connects directly to the harvester machine via a USB port.
This will create a WIFI network which will be available to any mobile phone or android device that support Wi-Fi within range of the harvester.
The connection components are:
WiFi mini-router
USB Network Adapter
Power / Data Splitter (or Power Splitter)
WIRELESS ROUTER
The wifi router, is a plug and play mini WiFi router and WiFi bridge with dedicated power supply cable. It will provide a local WiFi network around the harvester.
It requires 2 connections:
The network cable connects to the USB Network adapter's ethernet port
The usb cable connects to the power / data splitter power port.
USB NETWORK ADAPTER
This USB network adapter converts a USB port into an Ethernet network port.
It connects between the mini-router's network cable and the data port of the power / data splitter.
The Ethernet port connects to the mini-router's network cable
The USB end connects to the power / data splitter data port.
POWER / DATA SPLITTER
This device converts 1 harvester into a power supply port for the mini-router and a data port for the USB network adapter.
The male end connects directly to the harvester
The power port connects to the mini-router usb cable
The data port connects to the USB Network Adapter usb cable.
1. Attach the Wifi Router to the Harvester
Use the cable of the Power and data splitter to connect both via USB.
2. Install the drivers for the USB Network Adapter
Once that the Wifi Router is connected, the user needs to install the drivers for the Network Adapter before starting working the first time. Please follow the indications f the manufacturer.
The drivers for the devices used in this exemple (REALTEK USB LAND) can be be found in the link below for the most common Harvester Operative System.
3.Connect the Wifi of your android device
Access your Wi-Fi settings to make sure Wi-Fi is turned on and to view the available networks.
To open the Wi-Fi settings there are 2 options:
3.1 Swipe down from the upper-right of the screen and tap and hold the Wi-Fi icon to activate it.
3.2 The second option has more steps:
Open the Settings app.
Tap Network & Internet (Or or Wireless & Networks. )
In the Network & Internet section, select Wi-Fi.
Turn on the Wi-Fi toggle switch.
4. Connect to Treemetrics Router Network
Once Wi-Fi is enabled on your Android phone or tablet, go to the Wi-Fi page to see a list of nearby networks to which you can connect and press the Network named "Treemetrics Router"
Write the password for the Network: 12345678. Enter the password and tap Connect.
5. Remember to check the connection to the Treemetrics Router before using the Harvest Config App
When connected, a Wi-Fi icon appears in the status bar in the upper-right corner of the screen.
The network is saved to the device and the device will connect to the network without entering the password in the future.
Remember that this connection has no internet, so is needed only for Synchronize the harvester files with the android device (Harvest Config App), for the second step of Harvest Sync App the user needs to disconnect the WiFi and use the normal internet data connection of the mobile device.
